PARENTS:
We are very excited to introduce a new program for the some of the youngest members of our church.
We are implementing a mini mentor program. This program is designed to connect a preschool through 1st grader with a middle or high school student, giving the younger children someone they can look up to in church.
The activities for mentors and children are very simple. The mentors would send cards or letters to your child. We will have a movie day every couple of months or so. This would be after church on Sunday and all of the children would stay here at the church. We will have certain Sunday’s geared toward the mentors and your child sitting together during church. There are a few other ideas that we have, or if you have any, please let me know. This is a new program so any input is very important.
I have a list of mentors that have expressed interest in participating in the program. You can call me or email me your interest in the program and I will send you the list of youth wanting to participate. Please choose three different mentors, I will do my best to see that you have the mentor that you want, but there is the possibility that I may be unable to do so. In that case if I have a second or third choice from you we should be able to get everyone matched up.
