First United Methodist Church of Auburn Indiana--Auburn First United Methodist Church

Who We Are:

The O.W.L.s (Older Wiser Leaders) is a social group for adults 55 years and older.  Most of the activities are fellowship centered social events.  Many are annual events.  We host events for many holidys such as luncheons for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentine's Day, a late Summer picnic, and Winter luncheon.

We take a number of trips during the year.  Some are local day trips to area attractions, such as Pokagon State Park, Georgetown Place Retirement Home, and Arena Dinner Theater.  Other trips take us further from home.  Some of the longer trips of the past include Bronson, Missourri, Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island, and Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.  These longer trips are by motorcoach with a professional driver and tour guide.

We also sponsor birthday cards for all OWLs age 65 or older.  Large cards are delivered to those 80, 85, and 90 or older. Tapes ar church services are also taken to those who are not able to attend and request the tapes.

For more information, or If you are interested in helping plan and direct activities, please contact the Church office at 260-925-0885.

Watch for sign-up details in The Bell, Weekly Bulletin, and on the O.W.L.s Bulletin Board in the Narthex.

We hope to see you at the next event!
